The brief

An original music festival needed to announce itself boldly first event, unknown audience, tight timeline. The campaign had to do double duty: build visual identity for the event while driving ticket conversions through WebTickets. No room for subtle.

Creative direction

We went deep into psychedelic motion hypnotic wave patterns, a vivid green-to-yellow gradient system, and hand-illustrated elements that gave the campaign organic energy. The "012" became a visual hero. Pretoria's area code turned into a cultural badge.

Outcome

A complete campaign system: festival poster, artist billing art, portrait promo artwork, full wristband tier set (Artist, Regular, 2 Row, Staff, VIP), and web banner assets all delivered print-ready and digital-optimised for launch day.

Visual identity

A hypnotic wave system built to stop the scroll.

The wave pattern wasn't decoration it was the campaign's backbone. Every piece shared the same psychedelic ripple system, creating instant recognisability across formats from portrait posters to wide web banners.

The "012" numeral was treated as a display object massive, gradient-lit, orbited by a handmade ellipse that gave it energy and movement. The brief said festival. The design said landmark.

Artist artwork

Chdima Eze. Featured artist. Impossible to ignore.

The featured artist portrait required a dedicated piece not just a photo with a logo dropped on top. We built a layered composition: the hypnotic background in full intensity, the artist cut out and composed against it, the "Jike Lele" wordmark as its own graphic element.

Result: a poster that earns a second look, then a third. The kind that gets saved to phone camera rolls.

Lineup hierarchy

The artist billing followed festival industry convention headline acts in the largest type at top, supporting acts in descending scale. But the psychedelic shield shape breaking the layout meant the hierarchy was felt, not just read.

Natinovar Ounds · Slow Deep · Mash & Meleow · DJ Robla · Kapalaapa each name sized for their moment.

Web assets

The same visual system was adapted to wide-format web banners a horizontal crop that led with the "012" mark, pulled the lineup names across the right half, and kept the wave pattern contained without losing its energy.

Built for WebTickets, social cover images, and display advertising all from a single adaptable system.

Five tiers, one system

Every wristband tier Artist, Regular, 2 Row, Staff, VIP used the same wave pattern system but with a distinct dominant colour. At a glance, security can identify access. At a distance, attendees can show their level.

The QR position, WebTickets branding, date badge, and "012" event mark are consistently placed across all five making the set feel designed, not assembled.

Print specifications

Delivered print-ready at wristband dimensions with correct bleed allowances and CMYK colour profiles ensuring the vivid gradient colours translated accurately from screen to physical production.

A complete production-ready package handed directly to the print vendor with zero revision cycles required.
